Terms of Service
Last updated 24 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you (the shop) and SentinelGrid, of Seminole County, Florida, covering your use of AutoDX at getautodx.com and every shop address under it. AutoDX is operated by SentinelGrid. By starting a trial or paying for a plan you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are allowed to bind that business.
1. What AutoDX is
AutoDX is shop software: repair orders, customers, appointments, estimates, a Bay Board for the shop floor, customer status links, and AI assistance that draws on your own repair history. It is delivered over the internet as a subscription. We may add, change, or retire individual features, but we will not remove something you are actively paying for without telling you first.
2. Your account and your shop
Each shop gets its own isolated database. You are responsible for who you invite, what they do, and keeping credentials secret. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think an account has been compromised.
You must be at least 18 and using AutoDX for a business purpose.
3. The free trial
New shops get a 14 day free trial with the product turned on. A payment method is required at sign-up and nothing is charged during the trial; if you cancel before it ends you are not billed at all. When the trial ends the plan begins, and if no payment method is valid at that point the shop stops accepting new work until a plan is purchased. Nothing is deleted at that moment (see section 8).
Exporting your data is a paid feature. Trial accounts cannot bulk-export. If your trial ends and you want your records out in a file, you buy a plan first. You can always read your data on screen inside the app during the trial.
4. Plans, prices and billing
Plans are monthly, per shop, with unlimited users and unlimited repair orders. Starter is 49 USD per month; Pro is 99 USD per month. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number. Sales tax is added where required.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Prices can change with at least 30 days notice, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
4.1 AI features use your own API key
AI features run on an API key your shop supplies from Anthropic, OpenAI or Google, added in Admin. Your shop holds the account with that provider, the provider bills you directly for what you use, and your use of that provider is governed by its terms, not these. We charge nothing for AI.
AutoDX does not run AI on a provider account of its own today, so no AI usage charges appear on an AutoDX invoice. If we ever offer that, we will update these terms first, and it will stay off for your shop until an owner agrees to it.
Until a key is added, the Built-in provider returns clearly labelled sample output and makes no external request.
5. Cancelling
Cancel any time from the billing page inside the app. Your shop keeps working until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not charge again after that. We do not prorate refunds for a partial month. There is no contract and no cancellation fee.
6. AI output is advice, not a diagnosis
AutoDX suggests. Your technicians decide. AI output can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, and it is not a substitute for a qualified technician, the manufacturer's service information, or your own labor guide. Verify parts, labor times, torque specs, fluids, and safety-critical work before acting. You are responsible for the repairs your shop performs and the estimates it gives customers.
7. Your data and how we may use it
The repair orders, customers and vehicles you put into AutoDX are yours. We do not sell them, and we do not use your shop's data to train AI models. We process it to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Some of your content is sent to an AI provider when you use an AI feature. Which provider depends on the lane you chose in section 4.1. The Privacy Policy names them.
8. What happens to your data when you stop paying
If your trial ends or your subscription lapses, we keep your shop's data for 90 days in a read-only state. During that window you can restore access by buying a plan and everything is exactly where you left it. After 90 days we may permanently delete it.
Bulk export is a paid feature. If you have ever paid for a plan, you can export your records, including during the 90 day window, by reactivating or by asking us. If you only ever used the free trial, you must buy a plan to export.
Nothing here removes a right you have under applicable law to a copy of personal information. If you believe you have such a right, write to [email protected] and we will honour it.
9. Acceptable use
Do not use AutoDX to break the law, to store data you have no right to hold, to attack or overload the service, to resell it as your own, or to reverse engineer it. Do not use the AI features to generate anything deceptive for a customer, such as an invented inspection result.
We may suspend a shop that puts the service or other shops at risk. Where we can, we will contact you first.
10. Availability
We work to keep AutoDX up but we do not promise a specific uptime percentage. Maintenance, provider outages and events outside our control happen. Keep your own records of anything you are legally required to retain.
11. Warranties and liability
AutoDX is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to AutoDX is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for lost profits, lost business, or indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will give notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use AutoDX after that means you accept the new terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law rules. The courts of Seminole County, Florida have exclusive jurisdiction.
